Tampa Bay Aquatic Masters or "TBAM" was an active and enthusiastic masters swim team sanctioned by United States Masters Swimming and part of the Florida LMSC and Dixie Zone organizations. Established in January 2009 by former Forest Hills Aquatics swimmers, it preserves the ideals of its founding team and coach for a cordial, structured and spirited setting to train, compete and promote the sport.
TBAM is a diverse team with members of varying skills including fitness and competitive masters swimmers, triathletes and cross-trainers. Most swim to develop and maintain a healthy physical condition and positive mental well-being or to enhance fitness regimens. Others train to prepare and compete in St. Anthony's Triathlon, Madeira Beach Triathlon, Hurricane Man and more. Check Active Tampa for more local and regional events where some TBAM members compete.
Head Coach Juan Cue obtained his USMS Coaching Certification on September 10, 2022. He has been with TBAM since January, 2009. He can coach triathletes, competitive and beginner swimmers. Juan has successfully swum in multiple open water events, national/international swim meets and truly enjoys working with athletes of all abilities.
